PhysiAssist runs billing for interventional and chronic pain practices. We check every injection against the payer's frequency limits before it is scheduled, get stimulators and ablations authorized, bill drug testing the way each payer allows, and collect self-pay services up front.

The basics
Pain management billing services manage the revenue cycle of a pain practice: prior authorization and coding for injections, ablations, stimulators and pumps, frequency limits and documentation, drug testing, medication management visits, self-pay services, ASC and office claims, payment posting, denials and AR. In pain management most denials come from frequency limits and missing documentation.
Epidurals, facet blocks, RFA, nerve blocks and SI joint injections, by region and level.
SCS trials and permanent implants, intrathecal pumps, refills and reprogramming.
Presumptive and definitive testing, E/M for medication management.
Notices signed before the visit and payment collected up front.

Office and surgery center
Injections done in the office, an ASC or a hospital outpatient department are billed differently. We bill the professional and facility claims so each one matches.

Pricing
One rate of 2.8% to 5% of net collections, quoted in writing before you sign. Where you land depends on monthly collections, specialty mix, the scope of services, and your AR backlog and payer mix.
The rate covers medical coding, claim submission, payment posting, denials and AR follow-up. Front desk services, prior authorization, the reporting dashboard, patient statements, credentialing and digital marketing are quoted separately.
See full pricing and estimate your rate →Prior authorization and coding for epidurals, facet blocks, radiofrequency ablation, nerve blocks and SI joint injections, spinal cord stimulator trials and implants, intrathecal pumps, drug testing, medication management visits, self-pay services such as PRP, ASC and office claims, payment posting, denials and AR follow-up.
Medicare LCDs limit epidural steroid injections to four sessions per spinal region in a 12-month period, with documented radicular pain and imaging guidance.
Radiofrequency ablation needs two diagnostic medial branch blocks with at least 80% relief first. A repeat RFA at the same site needs at least 50% improvement lasting at least six months, and Medicare allows no more than two RFA sessions per spinal region in a rolling 12 months, under fluoroscopic or CT guidance.
The trial and the permanent implant are billed separately: percutaneous leads (63650), the generator (63685) and, for the facility, the device. Both stages usually need prior authorization and, for many payers, a psychological evaluation on file.
Presumptive screens (80305 to 80307) and definitive testing (G0480 to G0483) are billed with the medical necessity and frequency each payer requires, and only the drug classes documented in the order.
Yes. Services Medicare does not cover, such as PRP injections, are collected as self-pay with the right notice signed before the visit, so patients know the cost and claims are not denied later.
