PhysiAssist runs neurology billing and revenue cycle management for neurology groups and neurosurgery practices. Certified coders count every nerve conduction study, match EEG monitoring to the right duration and level, bill IVIG and MS infusions by the unit, and code spine and cranial cases with their global periods, so diagnostic and procedure claims are paid the first time.

The basics
Neurology billing services manage the revenue cycle of a neurology or neurosurgery practice: eligibility and prior authorization, coding of visits and diagnostic studies such as EMG, nerve conduction and EEG, infusions, sleep studies and surgical procedures, claim submission, payment posting, denials, AR follow-up and patient billing. Most neurology revenue sits in diagnostics and procedures, where counting and modifier rules decide what gets paid.
Study counts, EMG add-ons per extremity, and the diagnosis that supports each nerve tested.
Routine, ambulatory and video EEG with technical and professional components billed by duration.
Drug units, administration codes, authorizations and site-of-care rules by payer.
In-lab and home sleep tests, CPAP titration and compliance for neurology-run sleep labs.
Global periods, co-surgeon and assistant modifiers, navigation and neuromonitoring.
What we check
| Codes | What they cover | What we check |
|---|---|---|
| 95907–95913 | Nerve conduction studies, by total studies in the session | One code for the session total; motor, sensory and H-reflex counted once each |
| 95885 · 95886 · 95887 | Needle EMG with nerve conduction: limited, complete, non-extremity | Once per extremity, and the muscle count behind "complete" |
| 95860–95870 | Needle EMG without nerve conduction | Code by number of extremities, or 95870 for a limited study |
| 95816 · 95819 · 95812–95813 | Routine EEG awake and drowsy, awake and asleep, extended | Recording time documented, and sleep captured when billed |
| 95700–95726 | Long-term EEG: setup, technical by duration and monitoring, professional by duration and video | Hours recorded, monitoring level and who reviewed it |
| J1459 · J1569 · J2350 · J2323 | IVIG products per 500 mg, ocrelizumab and natalizumab per 1 mg | Units from the dose, authorization dates and site of care |
| 95810 · 95811 · 95806 | In-lab sleep study, CPAP titration, home sleep test | Medical necessity and the order of tests the payer requires |
Neurosurgery billing services
A single spine case can carry a primary procedure, add-on levels, instrumentation, grafts, navigation, neuromonitoring and a second surgeon. Our coders build it from the operative note and follow high-dollar claims until they are paid.
Pre-op and post-op visits inside the global, and modifiers 24, 57, 58, 78 and 79 when work falls outside it.
Co-surgeon splits and assistant-at-surgery rules, with the documentation each payer asks for.
Stereotactic navigation and intraoperative neuromonitoring billed by the right provider.
Add-on levels, instrumentation and grafts sequenced so the highest-value procedure is paid in full.
Free EMG/NCS and procedure audit
Send us a recent month of EMG, nerve conduction, EEG and procedure claims. A certified coder reviews them and sends a written report you keep, whether or not you work with us.

Pricing
One rate of 2.8% to 5% of net collections, quoted in writing before you sign. Where you land depends on monthly collections, specialty mix, the scope of services, and your AR backlog and payer mix.
The rate covers medical coding, claim submission, payment posting, denials and AR follow-up. Front desk services, prior authorization, the reporting dashboard, patient statements, credentialing and digital marketing are quoted separately.

Nerve conduction studies are billed with one code for the total number of studies in the session: 95907 for 1–2 studies up to 95913 for 13 or more. Each motor, sensory and H-reflex study counts once, and an F-wave is counted with its motor study. EMG done in the same session is added with 95885, 95886 or 95887.
Long-term EEG uses separate setup, technical and professional codes (95700–95726). The technical code depends on the duration and on whether monitoring was unmonitored, intermittent or continuous; the professional code depends on the duration and whether video was reviewed.
Yes: IVIG and multiple sclerosis drugs such as ocrelizumab (J2350) and natalizumab (J2323), with drug units by HCPCS, administration codes, prior authorization and site-of-care rules by payer.
Yes. We code spine and cranial procedures with their global periods, co-surgeon and assistant modifiers, navigation and intraoperative neuromonitoring, implants and multiple-procedure rules, and follow up on high-dollar claims until they are paid.
Yes: in-lab polysomnography (95810), CPAP titration (95811) and home sleep tests (95806, 95800), with medical necessity documentation and the CPAP compliance tracking Medicare requires.
